Salasar showcases innovations at Trans Tech India 2025 Summit

Salasar’s capabilities span integrated engineering, manufacturing, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.
At the Trans Tech India 2025 Summit, supported by the Ministry of Power, Salasar Techno Engineering outlined its vision to revolutionise the electricity transmission sector. The company aims to achieve this through advanced engineering, innovative design, and global manufacturing standards.
As a key panellist, Salasar shared insights from its extensive experience managing projects across diverse terrains, urban areas, and climate-sensitive regions in India and worldwide. The company noted that the Indian transmission landscape is at a critical juncture, with evolving demands for infrastructure that is not only space-efficient but also tailored to modern mechanisation needs.
Integrated engineering and EPC capabilities
Salasar’s capabilities span integrated engineering, manufacturing, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. It emphasised its ability to create custom, high-performance structures that align with the changing requirements of utility companies and infrastructure developers, employing state-of-the-art software and regulatory codes. The firm has effectively integrated mechanisation into its project execution practices, enabling innovative monopole designs as alternatives to traditional lattice towers, particularly beneficial for overcoming challenges posed by varying terrains, adverse weather conditions, and space limitations.
Innovations addressing transmission challenges
The company showcased significant innovations aimed at addressing prevalent transmission issues in India, including cyclone-resistant poles, space-optimised monopoles designed for crowded urban areas, and specialised constructs that comply with regulations for height-sensitive zones such as airports. Additionally, Salasar presented its multi-circuit and multi-level poles designed to meet the high-clearance demands of industrial sectors.
Testing and validation of structural designs
The company backed its innovations with robust testing capabilities, having validated structural designs for transmission voltages of 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, and 765 kV, many of which exceed heights of 50 to 60 metres. This was demonstrated through successful applications for Power Grid, state utilities, and metro networks, showcasing impressive strength and load-bearing capacities.
Furthermore, Salasar’s expertise in various foundation types—including pile, caisson, stepped, rock-anchor, and micro-pile foundations—ensures effective solutions for challenging soil conditions and limited spaces, thereby enhancing long-term structural integrity and dependability.
