Salasar Techno Engineering Limited has strengthened its presence in India’s power transmission sector after securing a ₹232-crore turnkey project from the Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL).
The high-voltage transmission assignment, backed by international funding from Germany’s development bank KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau), underscores the company’s growing role in infrastructure projects with significant socio-economic impact.
Awarded in November 2025, the project involves the complete execution of a 400 kV DC Twin Moose transmission line connecting Banda and Chitrakoot districts in Uttar Pradesh. Spanning nearly 130 kilometres, the scope of work includes engineering, detailed design, supply of equipment, erection, testing, and commissioning.
Once completed, the transmission line is expected to enhance grid stability and reliability across the region, reduce transmission losses, and support Uttar Pradesh’s rising electricity demand fuelled by industrial growth and rapid urbanisation.
Commenting on the development, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director of Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, said the project reflects the company’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale transmission infrastructure of national importance. He highlighted that Salasar’s integrated EPC capabilities, robust execution framework, and focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery continue to position it as a dependable partner in India’s power transmission and distribution ecosystem.
The new contract further consolidates Salasar Techno Engineering’s standing as a key contributor to building resilient and future-ready power infrastructure, aligned with India’s long-term energy security objectives and economic growth ambitions.
